| The
"DecaPod" is a small but very powerful
light source. It houses thirty MR16 globes (eyf/eyc),
and utilizes a low voltage (12v) series / parallel
circuit. This circuit enables us to not only
switch the "Pod" to the desired output,
but also to achieve one of the brightest quartz
outputs under 20 amps. Because these globes
were originally designed for projectors, they
project a very intense light without projecting
the heat of a standard PAR globe. The "DecaPod"
provides all of these advantage plus much more. |

OPINION
The
DecaPod is a bright, even, light source and with
wide globes is about as bright as a Mighty Mole
in full-flood position. Of course there are some
advantages to using a Pod, one of which is its three
circuits allowing three chance to achieve the desired
light output. Another is its unique shape , similar
to a 4' Kino Flo, but with a much higher output.
Lastly is its compatibility with the DecaLight and
PentaLight. These lights were designed not just
be be an alternative to using a Dino Light or a
12 Light Maxi, but as a system that allows a Gaffer
to have a Large, Medium, and Small light all in
one user-friendly, reliable package. In the very
near future, there will be several accessories /
improvements to the DecaPod, including: Pod Barn
Doors, & Podeflectors (an attachment that double
diffuses the Pods output).
