"PentaLight" features FIVE of our own "DecaPods" in
a framed design. These Pods are not only switch able,
but pan able, replaceable, and removable. The "PentaLight"
is held by a bail with a standard senior (1 1/8") pin
and holds its own custom ears for holding up to 4-4x4
gel and diffusion frames (not included). When ordering
a "PentaLight" we send a complete system (excluding
stands) consisting of: the pentalight, a pentafeeder,
a set of penta ears, one spare decapods (for use as
a spare or for you to use on its own, my favorite way),
spare globes and instructions on the easy way we recommend
locating and changing burn outs globes, as well as an
AC sensor. The "PentaLight" fully assembled is not only
incredibly functional but also quite attractive and
has been photographed "In the Shot" several times. |

OPINION
The
PentaLight came as sort of an after thought, and was
always thought of as a 12 Light Maxi-ish lamp. Which
I suppose is true, after all it holds its own in a
side by side comparison. The Penta ships with 4x4
frame holders. These holder are based on the American
Equipment 12k Ear Extensions and hold up to 4-4x4's
which makes this light very Grip-Friendly. The Penta
as well as the DecaLight include a Master Switch (breaker),
which may seem like no big deal, unless you are the
guy who has to turn-off the light before running to
the catering line.
