The MoleBeam
Welcome to
the Mole-Richardson Co. MoleBeam Movie Page.
This is the first in a series of Videos dramatizing the many
uses for the modern Mole Light. In this installment we feature
the high-powered MoleBeam, which is being used in many
top Feature Film, Television and Commercial productions.
This is the
perfect parallel beam for use either as a shaft of light coming
through a window or hole in a roof, to simulate daylight piercing
thick trees in a jungle setting, or as a searchlight radiating
down from a hovering aircraft (real or imagined).
For those
interested in how the MoleBeam Film was made, it was
Storyboarded by the Mole-Richardson Co. Art Department and then
sent to Tribe Studios in Hollywood, California. From there scenes
were then shot in various locations (Van Nuys Airport &
Tropics Inc.) as well as in-studio (using backdrops) with the
JVC DY90 Digital Camera. These scenes were then digitally composited
in Adobe "After Effects" with graphics created in
"3D Studio Max." The compiled scenes were overlaid
with music & voice, mixed, and finally edited in "Media
100." The finished product was then saved to Hi-resolution
Video and encoded for the three most popular Web streaming Media
Players.
