To

William G. Krokaugger

of Mole-Richardson Company for the design and engineering of a portable, 12,000 watt, lighting-control dimmer of use in motion picture production.

The Molectronic 12KW D.C. Control Dimmer makes it possible to increase or decrease the illumination of stage lights from full intensity to blackout in ranges from 200 watts to 12,000 watts, utilizing the power source available on most production stages or from auxiliary location generators. Multiple dimming units can be interconnected, increasing the efficiency of the dimmer system six-fold. The ability to achieve this lighting effect eliminates the cost of converting direct current to alternating current which would otherwise be required.
